OC-SDR1 half-width PCIe card — AD9371 RF transceiver + Xilinx Artix UltraScale+ FPGA. 100 MHz bandwidth, 400 MHz–6 GHz, phase-coherent 4×4 MIMO with two cards. GPS-DO timing within 65 ns.

  • Is RANovate an O-RAN platform?

    No. RANovate is a research and validation platform — O-RAN, private 5G, URLLC, AI-RAN and mmWave are scenarios it supports, not what it is. If your work touches one of them, the testbox runs it; if it doesn't, nothing about the platform assumes it will.

  • How is this different from a compliance instrument like a Keysight or R&S box?

    Compliance instruments are technically excellent and built for certification — which is exactly why they're shared, queued, and structurally unavailable to an engineer who needs to iterate today. RANovate isn't a cheaper compliance instrument; it's a dedicated environment for the exploratory work that happens before you ever need one.

  • I already own USRP or Ettus hardware. Do I need to replace it?

    Not necessarily. The validated OAI / srsRAN / Open5GS stack that ships on the RANovate testbox is also available as a software-only deployment on existing USRP hardware, so gear you already own is not stranded.

  • Is this a private-5G deployment product?

    No — RANovate is built for research, prototyping and validation, not commercial network operation. Private 5G is one of the scenarios teams validate on it, not a service RANovate deploys for you.
